Prayer meeting 1/28/2028

 “Build an altar” is the theme for tonight’s prayer meeting. Let’s build an altar for this prayer time. The first mention of the word “altar” was when Noah built an altar to the LORD (Gen 8:20), and it pleased God with the many offerings Noah gave there. Verse 21 says the LORD “smelled a sweet savour,” meaning it rose to God as a soothing aroma. As a result, God gave Noah some important promises at that altar. When you get down to pray this evening, build an altar there. You don’t need a pile of rocks for this altar but be intentional in piling up a layer of praise along with your layer of petitions. That will make your words ascend as a pleasant fragrance to God. When you build that kind of altar, you will have a direct communication link between you and God and will walk away with some significant promises in hand. Let’s build an altar.
